What Our Clients Are Saying

Who We Are

Experience

I started working as a junior loan officer in 1998. Within a year, I moved to a new company and began managing that office soon afterward. In 2006, I opened my own mortgage brokerage. After the market crashed, I aligned myself with a larger, more well-established company to allow me to focus on originating and recruiting.\

Biography

First and foremost, I am a husband and father. I always try and put my family first. I have an incredibly intelligent, beautiful wife and two talented, kind-hearted kids, a son and daughter. They are my whole world. I think putting my family first has helped my business flourish. I was taught early on about respect, honesty, and kindness toward others. I've carried these values into my career and everyday life. I began working on the ground floor as a junior loan officer and shortly worked my way up to an owner/manager. I have worked in the Des Moines market for almost 20 years. Integrity is the word that comes to mind when defining how I do business. I maintain my relationships by being honest, straight-forward, and invested in the process with both my referral sources and my clients. Excellent communication has been one of the primary keys to my continued success. My goal is to make sure my clients understand the entire process from the initial application, to the closing table, and beyond.

My Philosophy

Treat people the way you would like to be treated. It's that simple. I take the time for everyone whether they are a new client who needs guidance for a future purchase or a previous client with questions well after closing. I have clients who have called me years later because they know they are going to get a straight answer. Make your clients feel so important they won't want to go anywhere else.

Education

I studied Finance at Iowa State University. I am also a licensed and certified high school coach.

Community

I have invested over 10 years helping coach the youth of America. I have a passion for helping these kids learn. I primarily coach at the club soccer level from U6-U19 but have also been the assistant high school coach in my community for 6 years. It has taken me years to figure out coaching is less about the individual sport and more about developing them as an individual. These kids are our future.
